September 06, 2017: While social media is busy in condemning killing of journalist Gauri Lankesh, Political leaders also express concern and condemned the killing. Print media and electronic media unequivocally condemned killing of the veteran journalist. Journalists in Bengaluru, Mumbai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Kerala and other places , are holding protest programmes.
Economic Times reports: Congress president Sonia Gandhi today condemned the killing of journalist Gauri Lankesh and said it was a chilling reminder that “intolerance and bigotry is raising its ugly head in our society”.
Her son and party vice president Rahul Gandhi also expressed shock at the killing of the firebrand journalist in Bengaluru yesterday and said no one could suppress the truth.
