Policeman martyred in terrorist attack in Anantnag district of J&K

September 09, 2017: In Jammu & Kashmir, one policeman was martyred and some other personnel sustaining critical injuries after militants attacked a police party with automatic weapons near busy Bus Stand in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district late this afternoon.

Police sources told AIR that unknown militants fired indiscriminately upon a police vehicle near Police Post housed in the Bus Stand.

One policeman Imtiyaz Ahmad sustained critical injuries and later succumbed to injuries in the hospital. At least two other police personnel sustained grievous fire arm injuries. They have been admitted in the hospital. More details are awaited. (AIR News)
