Mukul Roy resigns from TMC, to quit from RS after Puja

In a major blow to ruling Trinamool Congress(TMC) Party in West Bengal, Rajya Sabha MP and TMC leader Mukul Roy today (Monday) announced his resignation from the Party. Mukul was earlier removed from Party General Secretary Post in 2015 after his name came under CBI scanner in Sarada Chit Fund case. Once considered as No 2 in TMC after Mamata Banerjee, Mukul Roy resigned from the Party today and stated he would resign from Rajya Sabha after Durga Puja.
