Agartala/New Delhi, Dec 10: The Central Government has disbursed funds to States for the financial years 2024–25 and 2025–26 under the Fifteenth Finance Commission (15th FC) grants for Rural Local Bodies (RLBs).
The Ministry of Finance released these funds on the basis of Grant Transfer Certificates submitted by the beneficiary States and after verification of mandatory eligibility conditions as per the operational guidelines issued on 14 July 2021.
According to PIB Press Release, Tripura received a total of ₹335.67 crore under the Fourteenth Finance Commission grants allocated to Gram Panchayats from 2015–16 to 2019–20. In this period, Tripura was allocated and received ₹36.24 crore in 2015–16, ₹56.76 crore in 2016–17, ₹65.43 crore in 2017–18, ₹67.07 crore against an allocation of ₹75.53 crore in 2018–19 and ₹90.63 crore against an allocation of ₹101.71 crore in 2019–20.

As on 2 December 2025, Tripura’s year-wise funding under the Fifteenth Finance Commission shows that the state was allocated and received ₹191 crore in 2020–21, ₹141 crore in 2021–22, ₹147 crore in 2022–23, ₹148 crore in 2023–24, and ₹156.31 crore against ₹157 crore allocated for the year 2024–25.

For the year 2025, Tripura has been allocated ₹153 crore, while the total grant allocation to 28 States under the Fifteenth Finance Commission stands at ₹48,573 crore.

The Centre has clarified that it does not maintain data on the exact number of families or individuals directly benefited from projects funded through these grants.
