December 25,2017: The wife and mother of Kulbhushan Jadhav will visit Pakistan today to meet him, The meeting will take place at Pakistan Foreign Ministry in Islamabad. They will reach there by a commercial flight and leave the same day. Sources said, Indian Deputy High Commissioner in Pakistan, JP Singh will accompany them. On 20th of this month, Pakistan had issued visa to them to visit Islamabad to meet Jadhav.
Jadhav is in a Pakistani jail facing death sentence on charges of espionage. India had approached the International Court of Justice against his execution which was later halted by ICJ pending the final verdict.
AIR correspondent reports that Pakistan has repeatedly denied India consular access to Jadhav. New Delhi has been maintaining that Jadhav, a retired Navy officer, was kidnapped from Iran where he had some business interest. (AIR NEWS)
