March 27, 2018: West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress Chief Mamata Banerjee met NCP President Sharad Pawar in New Delhi on Tuesday. The meeting comes in the wake of media reports about efforts to form a Third Front ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha polls. She also met Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut, DMK’s Kanimozhi and RJD’s Misa Bharti.
Later, speaking to media, Ms Banerjee said, she will meet disgruntled BJP leaders Shatrughan Sinha, Yashwant Sinha and Arun Shourie tomorrow. The West Bengal Chief Minister said, UPA Chief Sonia Gandhi is not well and will meet her once she is fine. Ms Banerjee said, she will certainly go to Lucknow if Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav call her for a meeting. Telengana chief minister and TRS supremo K Chandrashekhar Rao had met Ms Banerjee in Kolkata last week. (AIR News)
