Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura Jishnu Dev Varma assured the STGT job aspirants that he would take up their recruitment issue with Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha and Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath.
STGT job aspirants is continuing to press for their recruitment. After the Education Minister failed to properly assure them, the STGT candidates went to Dev Varma’s house and appealed to him.
Considerable time has elapsed after the announcement of Exam results for the STGT recruitment. For many of successful candidates upper age limit for a government job will exceed in 2023 and they will not be able sit for any other job exams.
Also, time is running out as Assembly Poll schedule in Tripura is soon to be announced and code of conduct will be clamped.
Unless recruitment of the successful candidates does not start soon, they job aspirants will be in trouble and the results will become null and void within next few months, job aspirants claimed.
In view of this, successful STGT candidates held numerous demonstrations in recent times and even gheraoed the residence of the Education Minister. They had to face lathi charge by the police and a few of them were injured recently.
On December 20, a group of STGT candidates went to Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma’s residence with a fervent appeal for recruitment of all the successful STGT candidates.
After a talk with the STGT group, Dev Varma made it clear that recruitment is not a matter any particular Minister or department. It depends on collective decisions taken in a cabinet meeting.
However, Dev Varma assured the STGT candidates that he would discuss with the Chief Minister and Education Minister today to find out a solution
