Rajya Sabha MP and ex-Chief Minister of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb visited three districts in the State on Sunday (April 23) aiming at strengthening the party’s presence ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
During his visit to Dharmanagar in North Tripura district, Deb chaired a party meeting attended by party leader Malina Debnath, MLA Jadab Lal Nath, and Bhabatosh Das, among others. The meeting focused on streamlining the party’s policies for the upcoming Lok Sabha election. Several issues were discussed.
Deb also visited the Kailasahar party office in Unakoti district, where he held a meeting with party workers and leaders. The meeting focused on strengthening the party by connecting with more people and highlighting the Modi government’s achievements at the center. Party leaders present at the meeting included Unakoti district president Pabitra Debnath, Kailasahar Mandal president Siddhartha Dutta, and party leader Amalendu Das.
Later, Deb visited the Sepahijala district and chaired a meeting with party workers and leaders at the Bishalgarh party office. He stated that after securing the second term of the BJP government in Tripura this year, the party was now focused on strengthening the booths ahead of the Lok Sabha polls next year.
Deb emphasized that the campaign aimed to ensure the BJP’s victory in the two Lok Sabha seats in Tripura. He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was working with a positive vision for people’s welfare and nation-building.
Biplab Kumar Deb stated that the BJP, which started from scratch, was now recognized as the strongest party in Tripura due to the hard work and efforts of the party karyakartas.
He added that building a strong organization at the booth level in the state was necessary, along with the need to establish close relations with the people. To form a government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it was essential to establish a cordial relationship with the people, Deb told reporters.
