Security arrangements during the winter session of Tripura State Assembly will be bolster.
In the wake of the recent security lapse in the Parliament’s winter session, the Tripura State Legislative Assembly has made stringent security provisions for its winter session to ensure safe and smooth conduct of the session.
The Assembly session will begin on January 5.
As per a notice from the Assembly Secretariat, only man-driven rickshaws and those with valid permits can enter the Assembly premises.
The security guards at the gate will check the identity cards or permits of the Members of the Tripura Legislative Assembly, the media and the Assembly staff before letting them inside.
The Assembly Secretariat has also imposed a restriction on the entry of co-passengers in the vehicles of the Members of the Tripura Legislative Assembly, the media and the Assembly staff.
However, the Members of the Tripura Legislative Assembly can bring their personal bodyguards without a separate permit as the personal bodyguards have been kept out of the ambit of restriction.
Furthermore, the enhanced security measures prohibit the entry of any visitors, government employees, media personnel and Assembly staff with bags or any other items that may pose a security threat.
