The final electoral rolls in Tripura has been published on Friday. January 1, 2024, has been considered as the base year. After a special summary revision in the electoral rolls, the final voter list has 28,56,925 voters. Among them, there are 14,35,172 males, 14,21,679 females, and 74 third-gender individuals.

The main aspects of the special summary revision in the voter list are that 32,218 new voters aged 18-19 were added to the final voter list. Among them, 17,454 are males, 14,758 are females, and 6 are third-gender individuals.

The gender ratio in the draft list was 989, which has increased to 991 in the final list. A total of 13,231 deceased voters’ names have been removed from the voter list.

The list can also be seen in the Vote centres, DM and SDM offices and the tehsil offices. However, those who could not take advantage of the special Summary revision process will be able to register their names from January 6, 2024, when the updation process will start, said Additional Chief Election Officer Ushajen Mog.

Meantime, in a press conference, District Magistrate of West Tripura Dr. Vishal Kumar announced today that after the special summary revision, there were 6,92,812 voters in West Tripura District.

The District Magistrate mentioned that there were 6,88,845 voters in the draft electoral rolls. The number of voters has increased to 6,92,812 in the final voter list. Notably, the number of voters has increased by 101 percent in the 2-Mohanpur assembly center, 108 percent in the 14-Badharghat (SC) assembly constituency, and 109 percent in the 18-Suryamaninagar assembly center.

On average, the number of voters has increased by 0.72 percent in the 14 assembly centers in West Tripura. The District Magistrate mentioned that the highest number of voters is in the 14-Badharghat (SC) Assembly constituency in West Tripura. There are 62,723 voters in this center. The lowest number of voters is in the 1-Simna (ST) constituency, with 38,974 voters. In the 14 assembly centers in West Tripura, there are 3,223 differently-abled voters. There are 40 third-gender voters.
