Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu held a meeting with the District Magistrate and officials of West Tripura district at the Conference Hall of the District Magistrate’s Office on Friday.
During the meeting, the Governor took detailed stock of the progress of the implementation of various schemes of the Central and State Governments. He advised encouraging the product producers more and more under the One District One Product scheme.
He said that the work of expansion of drinking water and electricity infrastructure should be completed within the stipulated time. He told the officials that more attention should be paid to the primary sector so that the common people can become self-reliant.
He advised the officials of the Agriculture Department to use more machinery in farming for more crop production. While discussing the Agartala Municipal Corporation, the Governor said that the work of the problems which have not been solved yet should be completed quickly.
During the meeting, the Governor’s Secretary UK Chakma, West Tripura District Superintendent of Police, district-level officials, Sub-Divisional Magistrates and BDOs were present.
Guv visits Sankhala ADC Village
Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu today afternoon visited Sankhala ADC Village of Hezamara under the West Tripura District. The Governor was welcomed at the Sankhala SB School ground by the BDO of Hezamara block. District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar and Chairman of Hezamara BAC were present at the school ground.
The Governor interacted with the officials of various departments and villagers on various issues. During the meeting, the Governor discussed about various schemes of the Central and State Governments, Mid Day Meal, Old Age Pension, Widow Pension etc.
Addressing the villagers, he said that he had come to this area to see the development and implementation of various works in this area. He expressed satisfaction that the villagers are getting the benefits of various schemes. On the occasion, the Governor handed over Soil Health Cards to two persons and a cheque of Rs 1.5 lakh to the members of a Self Help Group.
Guv inaugurates PPS Award distribution ceremony
Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu today inaugurated the PPS Award distribution ceremony organized by the Disabled Rehabilitation Society at Hall No. 2 of Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhawan in Agartala. He handed over the PPS Awards to Jagannath Hrishidas, Sushanta Nama and Sangita Das. He also unveiled the publicity brochure “Disha” of the organization.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor congratulated the specially-abled persons for their success. He congratulated the organizers for inviting him to the function. District Magistrate of West Tripura Dr. Vishal Kumar was present on the occasion. Vijay Hrankhal, a member of the Disabled Rehabilitation Society, was present.
The function was presided over by Surajit Ganguly, former president of the organization. Secretary of the organization Subir Dutta welcomed everyone.
