Tourism Minister of Tripura Sushanta Chowdhury reiterated the Government’s commitment to balanced and holistic development irrespective of political considerations. He pointed out that the incumbent government has been working on a people-centric approach since 2018 instead of the previous government’s area-specific development of the State.  

The Tourism Minister also said, a state-of-the-art amusement park will be built in Sachindranagar Colony, Jirania subdivision under West Tripura District, shortly. The cost of the project is estimated to be around Rs 50 crore. The park will be built under the Swadesh Darshan scheme.

Chowdhury said this while inaugurating the newly built Ranirbazar Revenue Circle office at the Ranirbazar Municipality office premises on Thursday. Through this revenue circle office, the people of 14 mouzas and 6 tehsils of Jirania subdivision will be able to avail various revenue related services, such as land documents, parcha, and income certificates.

Speaking at the event, Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said that the government is committed to the balanced development of every district of the state. In this regard, the government’s main objective is the overall welfare of the people, irrespective of political considerations. Due to the area-specific development approach of the previous government, there has been a significant deficit in the balanced development of the state. To come out of this situation, the present government has been working on development projects with a people-centric approach since 2018.

The Tourism Minister further said that due to the self-confidence and cultural heritage of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the whole world is looking up to our country today. To maintain the momentum of the country’s progress under his leadership, we all need to come forward. The Prime Minister has also given special emphasis on women’s empowerment. Keeping in mind the role of self-help groups in the socio-economic development of women in our state, efforts have been made to ensure that more women are involved in them. So far, it has been possible to create more than 83 thousand Lakhpati Didi in the state. As a result, economic as well as social changes are being observed in the state.

In his welcome address, Jirania subdivisional magistrate Shantiranjan Chakma said that the Ranirbazar Revenue Circle office has been constructed from the funds of the Ranirbazar Municipality. A two-storey building will be constructed behind the Gitanjali Town Hall shortly.

Others present at the event included Ranirbazar Municipality Chairperson Aparna Shukladas and Vice Chairperson Prabir Kumar Das, Additional Subdivisional Magistrate Animesh Dhar and prominent social worker Gouranga Bhowmik.
