The BJP party will hold a mega rally on March 9 in Agartala to commemorate the second anniversary of BJP-2.0 government in Tripura.   

Notably, a crucial organizational meeting was convened at the BJP’s state headquarters in Agartala under the leadership of Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday.

A significant resolution passed during the meeting was the decision to organize a grand public rally in Agartala on March 9 to commemorate the second anniversary of the BJP-led government’s second term in Tripura.

As per a press statement released by the party, the rally will commence at 11 a.m. on March 9 and is expected to witness an impressive turnout, with an estimated gathering of 40,000 to 50,000 attendees from across the state.

While the BJP-led government completes its second year on March 8, party leaders decided to schedule the rally a day later to accommodate ongoing board examinations and ensure maximum participation.

Second-anniversary-of-BJP-2.0-in-TripuraThe meeting witnessed the participation of several senior party leaders, including BJP state president and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, Agriculture Minister Ratanlal Nath, Mahila Morcha state president Mimi Majumder, and other key office bearers.

The agenda of the meeting primarily focused on discussing organizational framework and issues in presence of the newly appointed district presidents and office bearers.

According to party sources, the discussions centered on strategizing future political initiatives.

Speaking on the appointment of new State president of the Party, BJP state unit chief spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty said, the process of electing new State presidents for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is currently underway across different regions of the country, and Tripura is no exception. Expressing optimism, he said that the party’s state organization would soon see the appointment of a new president.

Notably, Rajib Bhattacharjee is the incumbent president who became Rajya Sabha MP from the State.

The meeting also took a solemn moment to honor the late Balai Goswami, former Sabhadhipati of Paschim Tripura Zilla Parishad. In a mark of respect, all leaders present observed a minute of silence to pay tribute to his contributions to the state and the party.
