Now in its climactic phase, the tournament has witnessed fierce battles, with teams proving their mettle through group stages and knockout rounds – pre-quarterfinals, quarterfinals, and semifinals – to earn their place in the spotlight.
On Wednesday, the semifinals in the men’s category delivered high drama. At 2:30 PM, CISF secured a hard-fought victory over CRPF in the first men’s semifinal, clinching the win by a solitary goal. Despite taking an early lead, CISF faced relentless pressure from CRPF, who pushed until the final whistle to level the score but couldn’t break through.
Later, at 7:00 PM, BSF dominated Punjab Police in the second semifinal, sealing a convincing 2-0 triumph to advance to the final.
The action continues on Thursday at Umakanta Mini Stadium, where the men’s third-place playoff kicks off at 9:30 AM. CRPF and Punjab Police, the two semifinal losers, will battle it out for bronze.
The tournament will reach its grand finale on March 7 with a vibrant award ceremony in the afternoon at the same venue, celebrating the champions.
