Mumbai: The mysterious death of Disha Salian, former manager of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has taken a dramatic turn as her father, Satish Salian, filed a petition in the Bombay High Court on Wednesday, demanding a fresh investigation into the case.

Disha Salian death case: Allegations of Murder and Political Cover-Up

Satish Salian has alleged that his daughter was brutally assaulted and murdered, followed by a politically motivated cover-up. In his petition, he has sought an FIR against Shiv Sena-UBT leader Aaditya Thackeray and requested the case be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

This legal move challenges the initial findings of the Mumbai Police, which classified Disha Salian’s death as an accidental fall or suicide. It also raises questions about a possible connection between her death on June 8, 2020, and Sushant Singh Rajput’s death on June 14, 2020.

Mumbai Police Accused of a Hasty Investigation

The petition (a copy of which is available with IANS) accuses the Mumbai Police of handling the case in a “hot-haste manner,” allegedly ignoring critical forensic evidence, eyewitness accounts, and circumstantial proof.

Advocate Nilesh Ojha, representing the Salian family, has confirmed that the petition is in the process of being formally filed and will soon be registered with the Bombay High Court.

Timeline of the Events: A Case of Unanswered Questions

  • June 8, 2020: Disha Salian reportedly fell from the 14th floor of an apartment building in Malad, leading to an Accidental Death Report by the Mumbai Police.
  • June 14, 2020: Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra residence. His death was initially ruled as suicide but was later transferred to the CBI for further investigation.
  • The close timing of these events has fuelled speculation about a deeper connection between the two cases.

Political Pressure and Alleged Manipulation

The petition highlights alleged coercion by political figures, including former Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar, who reportedly pressured Satish Salian to avoid implicating certain individuals in the case.

Advocate Ojha further claims that “fabricated evidence” was used to support the suicide narrative. Satish Salian’s affidavit also details how he was psychologically manipulated by associates of Aaditya Thackeray and Rohan Rai, Disha’s fiancé.

Father Questions Crime Scene Evidence

In an exclusive interview with a news channel, Satish Salian expressed his disbelief in the suicide theory, citing several inconsistencies:

  • Absence of injuries consistent with a fall from a 14th-floor height.
  • Lack of bloodstains at the crime scene.
  • The suspiciously clean state of the room where Disha allegedly fell.

Demand for CBI Investigation and Aaditya Thackeray’s Interrogation

With new revelations and unanswered questions, Satish Salian is demanding a thorough investigation and the questioning of Aaditya Thackeray in connection with the case.

By reopening the Disha Salian death case, he hopes to uncover the truth and investigate its possible connection to Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic demise, reigniting public interest in these unresolved mysteries.
