Highlighting the state’s commitment to inclusive development, Dr. Saha informed that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will soon be signed between the Tripura government and Patanjali Yogpeeth.
The agreement is expected to pave the way for large-scale initiatives aimed at boosting the state’s socio-economic progress.
Notably, Patanjali Yogpeeth has been a pioneer in reviving traditional Indian knowledge systems and promoting natural living.
Through this partnership, Tripura aims to leverage its rich natural and cultural heritage to promote yoga, Ayurveda-based wellness tourism, and environment-friendly educational initiatives.
About Patanjali Yogpeeth
Established in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, Patanjali Yogpeeth is one of the world’s largest yoga and Ayurveda institutions. Co-founded by yoga guru Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna, the organization has been instrumental in promoting ancient Indian wellness practices.
Its activities span across research in Ayurveda, manufacturing of herbal products, and the establishment of health and educational institutions.
Over the years, Patanjali has also ventured into the areas of organic farming, sustainable development, and biodiversity conservation.
The collaboration with Tripura could potentially lead to new wellness centers, yoga retreats, herbal product manufacturing units, and academic institutes in the state.
Boost to Wellness and Tourism Sectors
Officials said the proposed MoU is aimed at harnessing Tripura’s serene natural environment and spiritual legacy to attract wellness tourists and practitioners from across India and abroad.
