Agartala (Tripura), July 26, 2025: In a fiercely contested encounter at the Umakanta Mini Stadium on Saturday evening, Blood Mouth Club registered a narrow 1-0 win over Ramkrishna Club in the Shyam Sundar Co. Jewelers Chandra Memorial First Division League, organized by the State Football Association.

The defining moment came in the 31st minute when Peter Singh unleashed a stunning strike that eventually proved to be the match-winner. While Blood Mouth Club took the lead, their performance reflected some lingering frustration from their recent Shield defeat, with several missed opportunities in the final third.

Despite flashes of dominance, the black-and-orange brigade failed to capitalize on multiple chances to double the lead, leaving the door open for a possible comeback by their opponents.

Ramkrishna Club’s Winless Run Continues

Last year’s Shield runners-up, Ramkrishna Club, struggled once again to find their form. After two matches across both the recent Shield and ongoing League tournaments, they remain without a win. However, coach Kaushik Ray’s men showed notable improvements in coordination compared to their earlier performances.

Their forward line, however, lacked the precision needed to turn chances into goals—a concern echoed by fans and analysts alike, who emphasize the need for sharper finishing.

Dramatic End as Red Card Mars Ramkrishna’s Late Push

Tension peaked in the final minutes of the game when referee Satyajit Debbarma handed a red card to Shakti Tripura of Ramkrishna Club. Reduced to 10 men, the team’s hopes of a late equalizer were dashed. Blood Mouth Club held their nerve to secure all three points in what could be a pivotal early win in the League campaign.

Next Up: Lal Bahadur Club vs Nine Bullets in Grudge Rematch

Action resumes on Sunday at 6 PM under the lights of Umakanta Mini Stadium as Lal Bahadur Club takes on Nine Bullets Club in the next League fixture. This will be the second face-off between the two sides this season. In their previous encounter during the Rakhal Shield Knockout, Nine Bullets cruised to a commanding 4-0 victory.

Lal Bahadur Eyes Redemption, Nine Bullets Confident

Determined to turn the tables, Lal Bahadur Club has strengthened its squad and is eyeing revenge. Coach of the Byayamagar side sounded hopeful, saying, “Our boys are ready to make our supporters proud in this crucial first league game.”

Meanwhile, Nine Bullets Club, brimming with youthful enthusiasm, enters the tie with confidence. Coach Rajib Ghosh remarked, “If our boys play their natural game, victory is certain.”

With both teams finalizing their preparations on Saturday, tomorrow’s showdown promises to be another high-octane clash in what is shaping up to be a captivating League season.
