Meet 3-yr-old prodigy from Tripura – Brinda Nath

Dharmanagar, Oct 11: Displaying remarkable brilliance and versatility at an exceptionally young age, three-year-old Brinda Nath from Dighalbak area under Dharmanagar subdivision in North Tripura district has brought immense pride to her family and the state. The little prodigy has been officially recognised by the India Book of Records (IBR) and conferred with the prestigious title of ‘IBR Achiever 2025’.

Brinda, the only daughter of Nilkanta Nath and Rimpa Nath, has astounded everyone with her exceptional memory, intelligence, and grasp of knowledge well beyond her years. Her father, Nilkanta Nath, serves in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and is currently posted in Manipur.

According to the certificate issued by the India Book of Records, Brinda (born on March 19, 2022) has demonstrated rare cognitive and learning abilities uncommon for children of her age. She can identify 12 different colours and 10 shapes, name 15 animals from memory, and list five good habits and five seasons with ease. In addition, she can fluently recite the 12 months of the year and the seven days of the week, recognise 12 national symbols of India, perform ten English nursery rhymes, and count seamlessly from 1 to 50 — all of which collectively earned her national recognition.

The India Book of Records formally acknowledged Brinda’s outstanding accomplishments on August 6, 2025, and the certificate of honour was presented to her on August 25, 2025.

This recognition marks a significant milestone not only for Brinda but also for the people of Tripura, as she joins the ranks of the youngest achievers in India. Her remarkable achievements are a testament to how early childhood learning, when nurtured with proper guidance, love, and encouragement, can lead to extraordinary outcomes.

Speaking about her daughter’s success, Brinda’s parents expressed their joy and gratitude, crediting her curiosity and enthusiasm for learning as the key to her success. They also acknowledged the supportive environment provided at home that helped Brinda explore her interests naturally.

Local residents of Dighalbak and well-wishers from across the state have lauded Brinda’s achievement, describing her as a “gifted child” and an “inspiration for young parents.” Many believe her feat highlights the importance of early cognitive development and positive reinforcement in shaping a child’s potential.

With her name now etched in the India Book of Records, little Brinda Nath stands as a symbol of youthful excellence and promise — a bright example of how great talent can bloom even in the smallest corners of the country. Her story reflects not just personal triumph, but also the growing recognition of Tripura’s emerging young talents on national platforms.
