Tripurainfo mega quiz 2025: Scale it up to national level, CM says
Agartala Nov 9: Scale up it to a national level so that youths from across the country, can take part in the annual knowledge contest, Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said while attending tripurainfo.com conducted mega quiz competition today.
Amidst vibrant enthusiasm and intellectual energy, the 20th edition of the mega quiz of the tripurainfo.com started at the Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan in Agartala today.
Over 600 quiz enthusiasts – from school students to professionals – took part in the screening test. Seriousness in joyful ambiance prevailed in RS Bhawan premises as the participants battled for top 8 in MCQ based screening test.
The tripurainfo mega quiz 2025 among the top eight school students round started after paying tributes to personalities associated with the organization and the quiz event.
Participants observed one minute silence in memory of Late Jyotsna Debnath, mother of Jayanta Debnath, the Editor and Managing Director of the Tripurainfo.com and one of the Founder’s Member of Tripurainfo Mega Quiz, Pradip Datta Bhowmik, News Editor of Dainik Sambad daily newspaper, Mrinmoy Chowdhury, partner of Kalika Jewellers in Agartala, Tapesh Debnath, a renowned contractor from the Shibnagar area of Agartala, Venerable Ramkrishna Das, a respected Buddhist monk and former student of MBB College.
After giving award to one of the winners in audience round, Dr Manik Saha hailed the initiative of tripurainfo.
He said, Tripurainfo.com has come a long way over the past 20 years, and now I feel it should transcend the boundaries of the state and even the Northeast region. This platform should not remain confined to Tripura alone. It should go beyond the North East and eventually evolve into a national-level platform. We want to see this event reach that scale.
Hailing the spirit and knowledge of the participants, Dr Saha cited the teachings of Swami Vivekananda, and said, “Putting together all the knowledge stored in a library cannot match the capacity of a human brain to absorb and retain wisdom. I am extremely happy to see the enthusiasm among the participants and the children actively engaging from the audience. This spirit of learning and inquisitiveness should be encouraged by all of us.”
Former Chief Minister and veteran CPIM. Leader Manik Saha also handed over a prize to one of the winners. He also praised the tripurainfo for successfully conducting quiz programs since 2006.
He urged the quiz enthusiasts to gather information on various topics especially current affairs relating to the national and international issues, not just to win a prize but to play an effective role in view of emerging situations.
In this context, Sarkar cited examples of the Gaza-Israel conflict changing politics in the United States like victory of Trump’s opponent in NY Mayoral polls, and said awareness and informed perspectives shape effective citizenship more than quiz contest victories.
Among other eminent persons, Sports Minister Tinku Dey, Health dept secretary Kiran Gitte were present in the tripurainfo mega quiz 2025. The event is continuing till the report was filed.
