Tripura BJP president hospitalized
Agartala, Nov 21: Rajya Sabha MP from Tripura and State BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee was admitted to a private hospital in Agartala on Thursday after experiencing sudden chest pain.
He was rushed to the medical facility where a team of specialists began preliminary assessments to determine the cause of the discomfort.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha reached the hospital shortly after Bhattacharjee’s admission and reviewed his medical condition.
Speaking to the media, Dr. Saha said that the senior leader is under continuous medical supervision and has already received the required emergency care.
A series of diagnostic tests are being conducted to establish a clear medical evaluation.
According to initial observations, doctors suspect possible ischemia, a condition related to reduced blood flow to the heart.
However, the final prognosis will be confirmed upon completion of the necessary medical investigations.
Bhattacharjee is expected to undergo further examination in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab), where specialists will perform catheter-based procedures to identify whether any arterial blockages or other cardiac irregularities exist.

Later, in a social media post, Dr Saha wrote, “Bharatiya Janata Party Tripura State President and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Rajib Bhattacharjee has been admitted to a private hospital in the state due to illness.
I visited the hospital to enquire about his health condition and spoke with the attending doctors. At present, his condition is stable, and various medical examinations are underway. I wish him a speedy recovery.”
