Road Safety Day in Jampui Hill observed
Jampui Hill (Tripura), Dec 6: With the tourist season at its peak and visitor numbers rising sharply in the only hill station of Tripura, the Mizo Convention Youth Wing of Jampui Hill, in collaboration with Tripura Tourism and Vanghmun Police Station, organised a Road Safety Day across the Jampui Hill area on Saturday, December 6, 2025.
The initiative was aimed at promoting safe driving practices and responsible tourism among both locals and visitors. Throughout the day, volunteers engaged residents and tourists with awareness activities focused on three key messages: driving safely while obeying traffic rules, maintaining discipline and respectful conduct during their stay, and keeping Jampui Hill clean by avoiding littering to preserve its reputation as the cleanest place in the state.
According to Mr. Vanrokima Royte, General Secretary of the Mizo Convention Youth Wing, a total of 45 youth volunteers participated in the campaign, supported by six police personnel. Over 300 pamphlets highlighting road safety measures were distributed, and flex posters were installed at important locations to maximise awareness.

Royte expressed gratitude to Tripura Tourism for sponsoring and supporting the event, contributing to its successful execution.
The organizers hope that such initiatives will strengthen safety culture and preserve the beauty of Jampui Hill for both residents and tourists in the years to come.
