Tripura government reshuffles IAS, IFS, TCS officers, with key changes in Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and Unakoti District Magistrate posts.
Agartala (Tripura), May 29: The Tripura government has reassigned key positions within the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and other departments, aiming to enhance governance and operational efficiency across the state.
The reshuffle involves significant changes for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Forest Service (IFS), and Tripura Civil Service (TCS) officers, including a notable shift in the District Magistrate position.
Dilip Kumar Chakma, IAS, formerly the District Magistrate and Collector of Unakoti district, has been appointed as the new Municipal Commissioner of Agartala Municipal Corporation.

This move relieves Dr. Vishal Kumar, IAS, the District Magistrate and Collector of West Tripura, from his additional responsibilities as AMC Municipal Commissioner, allowing him to focus exclusively on his primary role.
Tamal Majumdar, IAS, previously Additional Secretary in the Revenue and General Administration (AR) Department, has been appointed as the new District Magistrate and Collector of Unakoti district, replacing Chakma.
In the Indian Forest Service, K. Shashi Kumar, IFS, Chief Conservator of Forests (Territorial), has been named Secretary of the Tribal Welfare Department, including its TRP and PTG divisions, and relieved of his additional role as Secretary of the Science, Technology & Environment Department.
Chaitanya Murti, IFS, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, will now take on the additional role of Principal Secretary in the Science, Technology & Environment Department. Brijesh Pandey, IAS, Chief Electoral Officer of Tripura, has been relieved of his duties as Secretary of the Tribal Welfare Department.
Among TCS officers, Subrata Datta, TCS Grade-I, previously Senior Deputy Collector in the Office of the District Magistrate and Collector, West Tripura, has been appointed Deputy Secretary in the Revenue Department, Agartala.

Similarly, Rupon Das, TCS Grade-I, formerly Additional Sub-Divisional Magistrate in Sonamura, has been transferred to the role of Deputy Secretary in the Revenue Department, Agartala.
