Status of Covid19 in the State continues to be worrisome as death rate is hovering over 1 per cent and total number of death is nearing to breach 300-mark.
According to the media bulletin, six persons succumbed to death on Sunday pushing the death toll to 296. The Fatality rate is 1.10 per cent while recovery rate is 81.39 per cent as on October 4, 2020. As many as 466 patients have recovered and discharged today from different Covid Care Centers across the State.
In comparison, 4 persons died and 513 patients were discharged on October 03, 2020 with cumulative total number of death was 290. Even as number of death remained below 6 for last couple of days, change in death rate is not noticeable – it varied around over 1 per cent.
As per the data available, fatality rate has emerged as a major concern. Despite several measures taken by the State Government pertaining to harness health care services, death rate continues to remain over 1 per cent for past several weeks. Recovery rate is fluctuating around 80 per cent – to be precise; it’s 81.39 per cent today. Covid19 positivity rate is also remaining well over 6.5 per cent – on Sunday, positivity rate increased to 6.74 per cent compared to 6.69 per cent.
On Sunday, a total of 2173 samples were tested and 322 were found positive. Media bulletin data shows that cumulative total sample tested stood at 3,98,852 on Sunday. Out of this, 26,874 samples tested positive while 3,71,978 were found negative. A total of 21,853 patients recovered so far in Tripura.
Meanwhile, in other North Eastern States, Covid19 is as follows:
Assam (1,85,444), Meghalaya (6,456), Manipur (11,649), Nagaland (6,429), Mizoram (2,120), Arunachal Pradesh (10,421) and Sikkim (3,131). Among the eight North Eastern States, Mizoram is least affected and there is no reported Covid19 death so far.
