With Bikram Debnath’s all-round performance, Tripura defeated Puducherry. The State Cricket team went into field as a favorite following their victory against mighty Mumbai. It was Tripura’s 4th victory in the tournament.
Tripura ended its campaign in the Vijay Hazare Trophy Cricket with a win against Puducherry by 25 runs on Tuesday. In the match held at the Amber Stadium in Bangalore, Puducherry managed to score 135 runs in response to Tripura’s 160 runs.
Bikram Debnath of Tripura has been selected as the man of the match for scoring 75 runs and taking 3 wickets. Tripura finished the season with 16 points after winning 4 of their 7 matches.
On Tuesday, the Tripura team management played several players from the reserve bench in the first eleven to assess them. With the win on this day, the team led by Rajat Dey boosted their morale ahead of the Ranji season.

In reply, Puducherry was bundled out for 135 runs in a sweeping attack by Tripura bowlers. For the team, opener Akash Kargave scored 54 runs off 77 balls with the help of 6 boundaries and 2 over boundaries, and Akash scored 33 runs off 48 balls with the help of 2 boundaries and 2 over boundaries.
