Chief Minister highlights positive change in Tripura's business environment under PM Modi's leadership

Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha highlighted that the development of infrastructure helped the State to possess all the necessary resources to attract investors from across India and beyond.

He encouraged local businessmen to embrace competition with these investors, recognizing their crucial role in driving the overall progress of Tripura's economy.

Dr Saha stressed the importance of active participation from local businesses for the prosperity of Tripura. He acknowledged them as the driving force behind the state's economic growth and emphasized the need to increase production and encourage further investment to sustain the upward trajectory.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister criticized the previous Left Front government for causing discord between businessmen and employees, which led to the closure of industries in the state. He highlighted the positive change witnessed after Prime Minister Modi assumed office in 2014, assuring investors that they can operate without hindrance. The current government is committed to fostering an environment conducive to the growth of business owners, businessmen, and workers alike.

Tripura-CM-BJP-PM-ModiSpeaking at the BJP Trade Cell's Businessmen Sammelan in Agartala on Tuesday, Dr. Saha also emphasized and pointed out the crucial role of local businesses and their potential to bolster the state's economy.

Highlighting his personal connection to the business community as someone from a family of businessmen, the Chief Minister emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to development.

He pointed out that Tripura is one of the northeastern states accruing maximum benefits from the Act East policy which has brought remarkable progress to the region.

Listing the advancement of infrastructural facilities in Tripura, Dr. Saha mentioned the modernization of a state-of-the-art railway station and the introduction of 13 express trains connecting the state to various parts of the country.

“These initiatives have improved travel convenience for citizens and are attributed to the vision of Prime Minister Modi. Additionally, significant progress is being made in highway development, with six projects nearing completion and four more sets to begin soon”, Dr Manik Saha said.

The Chief Minister highlighted the enhanced connectivity in Tripura, facilitated by robust internet infrastructure and a premier airport. He acknowledged past connectivity challenges but emphasized that the state now possesses the necessary resources to attract investors from across India and beyond.
