As the spike in the Covid 19 cases in Tripura remains unabated, the health and family welfare department of Tripura has imposed fresh restrictions at all the entry points of the state. According to the new orders, no one can be allowed inside the state without possessing a Covid19 negative certificate. The test conducted maximum 72 hours prior to the journey will only be considered.
Meanwhile, it may be noted that 92 fresh cases were detected in the State while 37 recovered during last 24 hours. There is no report of death, Govt media bulletin said.
“As per the approval of the competent authority it is hereby informed that from April 24 next negative test reports for Covid19 done by RTPCR, True NAT, CBNAAT of 72 hours prior to the journey is required for entry into the state through Airport/Railway station/Churaibari/ICP. Otherwise, the concerned passenger will undergo testing at the entry point as per the state government norms”, the order undersigned by Radha Debbarma reads.
All the district magistrates and concerned officials from the department had been informed regarding the orders and alerts were sent to the entry points of the state. Meanwhile, the alarming rise in Covid19 cases continued in the state with 92 new cases detected in the last 24 hours out of a total of 2,932 swab samples.
Apart from that, a high level meeting was also held on Wednesday at GBP hospital Agartala for strategizing the state's preparedness to tackle the challenges put forth by the Covid19.
During the meeting, senior doctors from various departments sat together and discussed the existing facilities in the hospital and exchanged views as to how modifications could be carried out for an effective health care service. The prime focus has been given to the availability of oxygen cylinders in the hospital. Dr Bishal Kumar, joint secretary Tripura Finance Department put light on the oxygen storage of the state.
A set of resolutions have been unanimously taken during the meeting that include: procurement more oxygen concentrators, setting up of a warehouse etc.
