Modi-led Govt working for benefits of people, says Tripura ICA Minister

Modi-working-people-Blood-donation-TripuraPrime Minister Narendra Modi-led Central Government is working round the clock for the welfare of people of the country and people are also enjoying the benefits of hard works of the Government, said Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury.

 

He was speaking after inaugurating an event of voluntary blood donation and distribution of supporting materials to beneficiaries of different Welfare Schemes. The event was organized as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at Jirania in West Tripura District on Saturday (Aug 13).

 

Notably, blood donation is an important event in Tripura and voluntary blood donation in such camps is highly appreciated in the State. Blood collected from such voluntary blood donation camp helps, in a great extent, to meet the requirement of blood in the State.

 

In his speech, the Minister also highlighted the importance of conducting such blood donation camps. He urged to conduct blood donation camp in social programmes across the State to ensure adequate blood in the blood banks.

enewstime-Modi-working-people-Blood-donation-TripuraIn event, Sushnata Chowdhury distributed power tillers to two beneficiaries, mini rice mills to six persons,  pumpsets to two beneficiaries and  battery sprayers to nine beneficiaries under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikash Yojana of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare department.   

 

Fish food was given to seven fishermen from the Department of Fisheries.

 

Ten ducks were given to each of 46 people under the Chief Minister's Swanirbhar Parivar Yojana of the Animal Resources Development Department.  

 

Two beneficiaries received cards under the Construction Workers Welfare Scheme of the Labor Department and 4 people are given financial support under the scheme.

 

Besides, seven water filters were given to at Anganwadi Centre, each of 94 small scale traders of SC category were given a grant of Rs.10,000.  Hearing aids, walking sticks and walking tripods were also provided by the Department of Social Welfare and Social Education.  

 

District Magistrate, West Tripura- Debapriya Bardhan, BDO Jirania Anurag Sen, chairperson of Jirania Panchayat Samity Manju Das, vice-chairperson Pritam Debnath, SDM Jirania Jibankrishna Acharjee, chairperson of Jirania Nagar Panchayat Ratan Kumar Das and social activist Gouranga Bhowmik were present in the programme.
