Govt working for socio-economic development of women: Tripura ICA Minister

ICA-Minister-Tripura-Women-empowermentThe government is working towards quality development of socio-economic condition of the women. It has to be ensured that no woman is lagging behind in any way in terms of their development, said Information & Cultural Affairs Minister of Tripura Sushanta Choudhury after inaugurating a Mega Loan Camp.

 

The camp was organized with the initiative of Ranirbazar Municipal Council at Geetanjali Hall in Jirania on Wednesday (Aug 3).

 

It is to be noted that this Mega Loan Camp has been arranged under Tripura Urban Livelihood Mission scheme.

 

The ICA Minister in the programme said, women also along with the men have to come forward with similar responsibilities to build Aatmanirbhar Tripura. The state government is implementing different developmental works based on the slogan- ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’. The state government aims to take along everyone ahead. He called on everyone to cooperate with the state government in its effort.

 

Vice Chairperson of Ranirbazar Municipal Council Prabir Kumar Das also spoke on the occasion. Welcome speech was delivered by Jirania SDM Jiban Krishna Acharya.

 

Other dignitaries present in the programme were Councilor of Ranirbazar Municipal Council Gautam Majumdar, Rinku Debnath, Sankar Chandra Saha, PNB Deputy Manager Subhashish Bhowmik, Tripura Gramin Bank Manager Sankar Debbarma, Member of West Tripura Cultural Advisory Committee Partha Sarathi Saha.

 

Loans worth Rs 73 lakh have been provided to 42 Self-Help Groups in the Mega Loan Camp. Apart from that, loan worth Rs 18 lakh was provided to nine persons. The guests have handed over loan sanction letter to them.
