In a historic milestone and to put an end to the insurgency, National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) and All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) has joined the mainstream for participation in the development journey under the leadership of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha.

The NLFT and ATTF has signed the Memorandum of Settlement at New Delhi.

On the issue, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that it is a new milestone which set today in Tripura's ongoing journey towards peace and progress with the signing of an agreement between the Govt. of India, the Govt. of Tripura, the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT), and the All-Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF).

Memorandum-of-settlement-Tripura-NLFT-Attf“The NLFT and the ATTF have agreed to end a 35-year-long conflict and return to the mainstream, renouncing violence and committing to building a prosperous and developed Tripura, reposing their trust in the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi”, he said.

Addressing the signing of Memorandum of Settlement at New Delhi, Dr Saha expressed his gratitude to the Home Minister Amit Shah for being instrumental in creating an atmosphere of peace, prosperity and goodwill in the entire North-East region.

“Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and pro-active initiative of Home Minister, Amit Shah, a dozen of peace agreements have been signed in the North East in the last 10 years to resolve many of the complex issues out of which for Tripura alone, there are three agreements so far”, said Dr Saha.

Rs 250 crore sanctioned by Government of India for the welfare of persons who have joined the mainstream.

Dr Saha also said that it is a matter of great satisfaction that the members of National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) and All Tripura Tiger Force(ATTF) have decided to join the mainstream for participation in the development journey spearheaded by Prime Minister.

“There are many schemes, programmes and projects of both the Government of India and Government of Tripura, which have been transforming the lives of all sections of people of Tripura including our Janjati brothers and sisters. The future of all the people of Tripura is bright under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister and benevolent guidance of  Home Minister, Amit Shah”, said Dr Saha.

Dr Saha also welcomed all the members of National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) and All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) back to the life of peace and prosperity with the spirit of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas" and wish them a grand future.

On the occasion of the signing of the Memorandum of Settlement, Biplab Kumar Deb, MP, West Tripura Lok Sabha Constituency, Maharaja Pradyot Manikya, MDC of TTAADC, Ranjit Debbarma, MLA, Home Secretary, Govind Mohan, Addl. Secretary Piyush Goyal, Director, Intelligence Bureau Tapan Deka , Advisor Akshay Mishra, Tripura Chief Secretary JK Sinha, representatives of National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) and All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) and other officials.
