TIPRA Motha makes debut in Tripura Assembly, Supporters jubilant

Another Regional Party of Tripura, Pradyot Kishore Deb Barma led TIPRA Motha has made an inspiring debut contesting the Assembly Polls all alone – with forming any pre-poll alliance.

Even as final results are yet to be available, as per the trends TIPRA Motha is leading in 12 seats at around 1.30pm March 2. The Party contested in 42 seats.

Deputy Chief Executive Member of the Tripura Tribal Area Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), Animesh Debbarma who is contesting from Asharambari as TIPRA Motha candidate is one of the notables set to win. His opponent is IPFT’s Jayanti Debbarma who is daughter of IPFT supremo late NC Debbarma.

In a prestigious fight against BJP’s State vice president Patal Kanya Jamatia, TIPRA Motha’s Pathan Lal Jamatia is way ahead and set to win.

TIPRA Motha candidate,  Chitta Ranjan Debbarma has emerged  victorious from Ambassa Assembly constituency defeating BJP’s Suchitra Debbarma.

Paul Dangshu of TIPRA Motha is well placed against his nearest rival in Karamchhera Assembly constituency.

The performance of the party led to celebrations among the supporters in Agartala and other parts of the State.  Supporters were seen singing, dancing and raising slogans hailing ‘Bubagra’ Pradyot Kishore Debbarma.

The jubilant supporters are happy that ‘Bubagra’ did not compromise with any Political party in the run up to Assembly Polls.

“Even if we our seats have remained limited to less than 15, elected MLAs of the Party would be able to strongly raise voice of Tiprasa (People of Tripura). With our MLAs in Assembly and TTAADC is under the control of TIPRA Motha – Janajati people are hopeful of more development and opportunities in coming days”, said a group of young TIPRA Motha activists in Agartala on March 2.
