Tripura adjudged as cleanest State

As per Swacch Sarvekshan Survey 2022, Tripura is adjudged as the cleanest State in the country in the category of Small States with less than 100 Urban Local Bodies. 

President of India Droupadi Murmu conferred the Award of Most Clean State in India (small states category) to Minister Urban Development Manoj Kanti Deb,  Kiran Gitte, IAS, Secretary UD, Tamal Majumdar, Director UD and Chairpersons of Teliamura and Khowai Municipal Councils.

Reacting to the achievement, Rajya Sabha MP from Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb who is also the BJP State Prabhari of Haryana hailed the commitment of the people of Tripura to fulfil the Prime Minister’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

In a Facebook post, Deb wrote, Good news for my beloved people of Tripura on the eve of Durga Puja, Tripura receive the best-performing state award with less than 100 ULBs from Hon'ble President Smt Droupadi Murmu ji.

The people of Tripura are committed to fulfilling Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi ji Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.”
