Tripura CM Dr Manik Saha opens multiple facilities in Khowai
Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha inaugurated three facilities – Women Police Station, Waste processing center and District level ‘Prati Ghore Sushasan’ – in Khowai on Tuesday (Nov 15).
In presence of Director General of Police of the State Amitabha Ranjan (IPS) and other officials, Dr Saha inaugurated the Women Police Station adjacent to the Khowai DM office.
Inaugurating the Women Police station, Dr Saha said, the State Government is working to bring down the crime rate to zero. Police personnel will also have to work in that direction. The government is also active in ensuring women empowerment and already 33 per cent reservation in jobs was made for the women.
Highlighting gender equality, the Chief Minister commented, “The great creations of the world which are eternally good, half of those were created by women and remaining half by man”
He also opened a Waste processing unit at the Barobil Singichhera area in Khowai today and exuded confidence the facility would benefit the locals.

In this connection, Dr Saha also said, as a part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the entire country is today focusing on Swachha.
The Chief Minister also participated in the inaugural function of Khowai District based 'Prati Ghore Sushasan', Saras, Skill and Job Fair at Srinath Vidyaniketan ground in Khowai.
This will provide the local people an opportunity to avail various administrative facilities in this fair. This fair will continue till November 17 next.
He opined the ‘Prati Ghore Sushasan’ campaign which was extended till December 25– the day of birth anniversary of late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee - across the State, will benefit the people in availing various facilities.
