Tripura News: Dy CM bats for awareness generation on Covid among indigenous people

Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma chaired Covid19 Monitoring Committee - the committee was formed for Tripura Tribal Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) - meeting at Administrative building in Khumuklwng under West Tripura on Monday.

 

Among others, Chief Executive Member (CEM) Purna Chandra Jamatia, Executive Member (EM) for Health Kamal Kaloi, Tribal Welfare Minister Mever Kumar Jamatia, MDC Pradyot Bikram Kishore Debbarman and CEO Abhishek Chandra were present in the meeting. Besides, Director of State Health and Family Welfare Dr Radha Debbarma, Officer of ADC Health department Dr Partha Debbarma were also present.

 

The meeting focused on awareness generation among the indigenous people on Covid19. Moreover, elected representatives and people involved in social works would be urged to ensure that people adhere to Covid protocols.

On behalf of the TTAADC administration members urged the Deputy Chief Minister to strengthen Kherenbaar, Twikarma and Shikaribari Hospitals.         

 

Talking about the meeting, Jishnu Dev Varma wrote in his social post, “Fruitful discussions were held to spread awareness and arrange testing and vaccination drive in the tribal areas . This is a positive step for fighting #COVID-19 for saving life of people in the TTAADC areas jointly by the TTAADC and state government”.
