Tripura News in Brief: Tipra Motha to contest in 35 Assembly seats, Kunal appears before Police

Assembly Polls: Tipra Motha to contest in 35 seats

Tipra Motha will contest in, at least, 35 seats in 2023 State Assembly Polls, said Tipra Motha chairman Pradyut Kishore Debbarma. He also said he want everyone to stay in the State peacefully and unitary wholeness.

“I will seek blessings of Bengali people as well as indigenous communities so that we can win the Assembly Polls”, Debbarma said while addressing a poll meeting in favour of three Tipra Motha candidates – who are contesting in Ambassa Municipal Council Poll – at Gopal Sardar Para school ground in Ambassa on Friday.

In his speech, Pradyut Kishore Debbarma came down heavily on the ruling BJP. He alleged BJP made tall promises during 2018 Assembly Polls – but did not fulfil the promises.

Alleging the ruling government’s failure to meet the pre-poll promises on providing jobs, settling the 10323 issue, implementation of the 7th pay Commission etc, he commented, I have not come here to misguide you with lofty promises.

In 15-ward Ambassa civic body polls, Tipra Motha is contesting in three wards. Seeking support of people, Tipra Motha Chairman said, you have given a chance to every one – but all disappointed you. This time, give us a chance”.
