JK : 4 terrorists killed & a policeman martyred in encounter

June 22, 2018: In Jammu & Kashmir, four terrorists were killed and a policeman was martyred in an encounter in Srigufwara area of Anantnag district this morning. A civilian was also killed in the incident.

Security sources said, a cordon and search operation was launched in the area after receiving specific intelligence input about the presence of terrorists there. During the operation, a gunfight broke out after terrorists hiding in a house fired upon the forces. The owner of the house was also killed in the crossfire.

Mobile Internet services have been snapped in Srinagar, Anantnag and Pulwama districts of the valley as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order. (AIR News)
