Krishi Karman Awards: PM Modi distributed Krishi Karman Awards for progress farmers and 2 progressive farmers of Gomati and South Tripura won the awards

Agartala, January 02, 2020: Tripura, once again, got recognition from the Central Government for it’s remarkable performance in implementing schemes for the welfare of people. And this time, it is Prime Minister Narendra Modi who handed over the award to the Tripura Agriculture Minister Pranajit Singha Roy.
At a programme in Tumkur in Karnataka, PM Modi distributed Krishi Karman Awards for progress farmers and 2 progressive farmers of Gomati and South Tripura won the awards.
The Prime Minister also released 3rd installment of PM Kisan (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi) of Rs 2000 for the period December 2019 – March 2020. This will benefit approximately 6 crore beneficiaries, a PIB press release said.
While, Pranajit Singha Roy received the Commendation award, two progressive farmers – Jharna Das of Gomati and Ashok Bikas Datta of South Tripura were also awarded with Krishi Karman Awards.
Tripura received the cash reward of Rs. 5 crore the category of ‘best performing small state’ in Agriculture sector.
Earlier, Rural Development department of Tripura bagged several awards for MNREGA implementation.
