In Himachal Pradesh, the Nati folk dance of Kullu district has made a world record by entering the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest folk dance in the world. The whole event of the Nati folk dance was recorded in several cameras during the International Dussehra festival in Kullu last year.The dance was dedicated to the girl child.
After their full satisfaction the officials of Guinness Book of World Records, registered the Pride of Kullu Nati as the largest folk dance in terms of participants’ number. Total 9,892 women participated in this folk dance in their traditional colourful Kulluvi dress last year on 26th October during International Dussehra festival. Definitely, it is not only a big achievement in the field of culture but prideful moments also for this small hill state.
