March 12, 2018: Maharashtra Government today accepted the various demands of the farmers after a detailed discussion with the representatives of the All India Kisan Sabha. The written assurance was given by the state government to resolve the various issues. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis appreciated peaceful and disciplined march of farmers and reiterated his government’s commitment to the welfare of farmers.
Over 35,000 farmers from across Maharashtra, had embarked on a ‘Long March’ from Nashik on March 6 to press their various demands and reached Mumbai to press their demands. (AIR News)
