November 19, 2017: A grateful nation is paying homage to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her 100th birth anniversary. A commemorative programme to mark the anniversary of Gandhi held at Shakti Sthal.
Former President Pranab Mukherjee, former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi visited Shakti Sthal and paid their tribute. Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a tweet paid tributes to the former Prime Minister Mrs. Gandhi on her birth anniversary.
Congress party is organizing a cutural programme at Nehru Park in New Delhi this evening. Former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has been chosen for this year’s Indira Gandhi award prize for peace, disarmament and development for his leadership of the country and its achievements during the ten years from 2004 to 2014 and for his contributions to the cause of economic and social development.
