February 04, 2018: Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visited forward posts along the Sino-India border in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir yesterday and interacted with the jawans deployed there.
A defence spokesperson said, Ms Sitharaman visited the highest post in the Daulat Beg Oldie sector and Chushul, one of the highest posts in Eastern Ladakh.
She was briefed on the operational preparedness of the forward areas. The Defence Minister complimented the troops on their steadfastness and dedication despite the harsh climate and terrain. (AIR News)
