People flooded social media responding #TripuraWearsMask call. Tripura CM posted a photo wearing mask and appeal to all for uploading their photos wearing mask

Agartala, April 30, 2020: You too wear a mask and upload the photo on social media using #TripuraWearsMask – the call was simple, but people of Tripura responded overwhelmingly and over flooded twitter platform with photos sporting a mask on face. The clarion call was made by Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb.
Importantly, after receiving responses, the Chief Minister also retweeted with some of the responses received from common people. Ishani Majumder of North Tripura was one such a girl who was visibly excited after Deb commented of her post and retweeted it.
On Wednesday (April 29), Tripura Chief Minister in his official twitter handle posted a photo wearing mask with an appeal to all for uploading their photos wearing mask with the Hashtag #TripuraWearsMask. He also nominated some persons for this social awareness campaign.
The Chief Minister wrote, “Wear a Mask and be Safe Tripura! As our @PMOIndia Shri @narendramodi ji appealed to use a Mask in our daily lives to stop spreading COVID-19, I am sharing a photo of mine wearing a homemade mask. You too wear a Mask & upload the photo on social media using #TripuraWearsMask.”
Ishani, a new twitter user, is from Paschim Dewanpasa in North Tripura. She had responded to Chief Minister’s appeal and posted a photo with a ‘mask on face’ in her profile with the #TripuraWearsMask.
However, she might have never even imagined that the Chief Minister would acknowledge her tweet and make a reply. “I am feeling something special. It was like a dream came true when I saw that the Chief Minister Sir retweeted my photo with a comment. I couldn’t even close my eyes whole night out of sheer excitement – it was a sleepless but memorable night for me,” the overwhelmed girl said.
While huge response from common people is noticeable, MPs from Tripura, State Ministers and MLAs too responded with a photo wearing mask on face. Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, Education minister Ratanlal Nath, Agriculture minister Pranajit Singha Roy, MPs Pratima Bhoumik and Rebati Tripura, and media professionals, along with a large number of common people specially youngsters responded to the appeal and virtually transformed the awareness campaign into a mass movement.
