On the second day of his two-day Karnataka visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated the 103rd session of the Indian Science Congress in Mysuru. Speaking on this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Innovation is important not just for combating climate change, but also for climate justice.
He said that government is launching Start-Up India that will lead to innovations and enterprise. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also said Good Governance is not just policy and decision making but it is also about integrating Science and Technology in choices that government make. He added that India’s success spans from the core of the tiny atom to the vast frontier of space.
Prime Minister said that govt have launched another revolution of empowerment and opportunities in India to turn scientists to realize the goal of human welfare and economic development for people. Remembering former President and scientist Dr. A.P.J Kalam, the Prime Minster said that the highest purpose of science for Dr. Kalam was the transformation of scientific achievements for the benefits of underprivileged section and the youth of the country. Prime Minister also said that some of the tallest leaders of India have passed through the doors of University of Mysore.
