Agartala, Jan 05, 2019: A galaxy of BJP leaders kicked off campaign in Tripura today for upcoming Lok Sabha polls. Determined to win in, at least 21 seats out of total 25 LS seats in North Eastern region, BJP started gearing up its grass root workers – called Prishtha Pramukh. These grass root workers were considered as main architect of BJP’s victory in Tripura which brought an end to 25-year long Left regime. Once again BJP is banking on these grass root workers for reaching to common people and securing victories in both the LS seats in Tripura.

All India BJP president Amit Shah along with top national as well regional and local leaders today addressed a mammoth gathering of Prishtha Pramukh at Swami Vivekananda Ground in Agartala. According to party sources, around 50,000 Prishtha Pramukhs from all over the State attended the gathering.

Launching a scathing attack on Congress and CPI-M, Party leaders highlighted Modi-led Government’s achievements. They also appreciated role of Pristha Pramukh in ousting leftists and installing BJP-IPFT government in Tripura. In the meeting, leaders applauded nine month old Biplab Deb-led Government.

Amit Shah – after offering puja at Tripureswari Temple addressed the Pristha Pramukhs and fired from all cylinders against Congress at national level and CPI-M at State level while strongly mentioning about Modi-led Government’s successful initiatives and socio-economic progress of the country under saffron rule. He talked about raising MSP for farmers, introducing health coverage upto Rs 5 lakh, electrification, LPG cylinder distribution scheme in rural areas etc.

He thundered against Congress and alleged, Congress party – accused of several corruption – is now pointing fingers at Prime Minister Modi and confusing people with lies. Shah also came down heavily on proposed grand alliance of Opposition parties. “Grand alliance is of no leader, no principal and no vision”, he said and added, people will have to choose between Modi-led Majboot Sarkar and a Majbur Sarkar of Opposition grand alliance. Other leaders like Ram Madhav and Sunil Deodhar too took a swipe at Congress on corruption and jibed at grand alliance.

Shifting his focus on Tripura, Shah was in all praise for Biplab Deb-led Government. While mentioning about achievement of none month old BJP_IPFT government, Shah said, renaming Agartala Airport in the name of Maharaja Bir Bikram is a ‘historic tribute’.

Reiterating that BJP would win in at least 21 seats from North East, Shah urged the Prishtha Pramukh to reach to every voter and for securing victories in both LS seats in Tripura.

Both Deodhar and Ram Madhav as well as Himant Biswa Sharma too expressed confidence about BJP’s victory in upcoming LS Polls. Ram Madhav said, BJP would form next government with more than 300 seats in its kitty. They also hailed roles played by Pristha Pramukhs in last Assembly Polls.

Local leaders including the Chief Minister detailed about activities of BJP-led Government and its long term planning for socio-economic development of all sections – particularly tribal communities. They also shed lights on several achievements – like implementation of 7th CPC, Paddy procurement from farmers etc. Leaders also shed light on responsibilities of the grass root level to win hearts of common people.
