Agartala, June 01, 2019: Om Prakash Singh takes up the mantle of Asset Manager of ONGC Tripura Asset today (June 1, 2019). One of the most brilliant technocrats of the Maharatna company, Singh brings with him an experience spanning over three decades in the organization at different levels of Drilling services and vast experiences of managing overseas operated projects at countries like Iran, Qatar, Vietnam and Brazil. His acumen for taking up challenges has transformed him into an able administrator, who believes in teamwork.
Prior to joining Tripura Asset, Mr. Singh was heading the Nhava Supply Base(NSB) of ONGC in Mumbai, which is lifeline of offshore operations. He has earlier served the Tripura Asset as Drilling In-Charge of Armco rig in 2003 and later again as Rig In-charge and Operation Manager from 2011 to 2013. He is very well versed with the fields and operational viability of Tripura Asset.
Singh joined ONGC in 1988 at IDT Dehradun after graduating in Mechanical Engineering from MIT Muzaffarpur.
A man of strong convictions, ability to connect with people, decision making and resource planning he has developed a niche for himself in effective technical, managerial and administrative decisions. “Team Tripura” joins hands today with their Asset Manager O. P. Singh in the vision for transforming this State into a gas-based economy through ONGC.
