Agartala, Jun 08, 2019: Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath shed lights on new initiatives of the Government to improve quality of education. Every school will have to go for random review of, at least, five answer scripts of students of concerned schools in the Board exams. Giving details, he said, Head Master and two other teachers of every school must review answer sheets written in Board exams by the students of the school. Teachers will explore and analyze faults and shortcomings of students who appeared in Board exams and accordingly take steps for rectification for next year’s Board exam candidates. Government will pay Rs 1250 for this purpose.
The Minister said, this initiative will give an insight to errors committed by students and help to correct the errors and improve the performance of concerned school in future. Moreover, required fee of Rs 500 for self review has been slashed to Rs 250 per subject.
Meanwhile, Ratan Lal Nath expressed satisfaction over the TBSE conducted Madhyamik results – he congratulated the successful candidates as well as thanked the teachers. Speaking to media, Nath said, “Improved Pass percentage across the State including TTAADC area indicates that if teachers impart quality education, results will be good.”
Congratulating the successful students he said, “I have personally talked to 18 out of 19 top 10 students and congratulated them. It is good that students from both Agartala-based schools and other areas across the State are securing top positions in the merit list”.
Hailing the efforts of teachers, the Minister said, “Our teachers are talented, but so long they could not discharge their responsibilities due to several reasons.”
