Rahul to take charge as Cong president on Dec 16

December 11, 2017: Signalling new era for grand old party – Congress – vice president of the Party, Rahul Gandhi was elected unopposed as president of the Congress party on Monday. Briefing the media persons, Party’s central election authority chief Mullappally Ramachandran said this and added, Rahul Gandhi will formally take over the rein on December 16.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Rahul Gandhi for his election as new Congress President. In a tweet, PM Modi extended his best wishes to Rahul Gandhi for a fruitful tenure.
