Agartala July 15, 2019: Another spell of heavy downpour on Monday morning submerged several localities in Agartala and outskirts. Howrah river was flowing above the danger level.
Since last Friday, heavy rains lashed out at different locations across the State resulting flash flood. Till last night, around 4000 people took shelter in relief camps.
Train services stopped. Road transport system has become standstill after roads at places were submerged. Office goers had a harrowing time as all the transportarion modes including most of the rickshaws in the city went off the road.
With swollen rivers, administration is taking steps to evacute people in safer places. Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb is monitoring the flood situation.
