SC extends Aadhaar linking deadline

March 13, 2018: The Supreme Court has extended the deadline for linking Aadhaar to mobile number and bank account till the Constitution bench delivers judgment on the matter.

The current deadline was to end on the 31st of this month.

A five-judge Constitution bench comprising Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Justices A K Sikri, A M Khanwilkar, D Y Chandrachud and Ashok Bhushan is currently hearing the petitions challenging the Constitutional validity of the Aadhaar Act. (AIR News)
