Silchar to have regional passport office: MEA

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj announced that Silchar in Assam will soon get a regional passport centre and it would ease the problems of people of Barak valley.

Addressing a party workers rally at Silchar, the External Affairs Minister also informed that the BJP led NDA government is focussing on all out development of Assam and the government has already sanctioned Rs 1,00,000 crore for roads in Assam and Rs 28,000 crore for the development of rail network in Assam.
