Oxygen supply system is well functioning in GB Hospital and overall Heath care delivery system has improved. MP Pratima Bhoumik said this on Wednesday after visiting GB Hospital. She also said, dedicated Covid care facility at Jayanti building in GB Hospital will become functional from October 31.
In pursuant with State Government’s effort to improve Covid19 health care system, MP Pratima Bhoumik today visited GB Hospital and held meetings to review the emerging situation. She also interacted with relatives of patients’ family members and ensured steps to address problems that the patients’ family members were facing.
Bhoumik chaired a meeting Rogi Kalyan Parishad meeting at GB Hospital to assess the ground realities and suggested measures required to overcome shortcomings. Concerned doctors appraised of the MP relating to ongoing health care delivery system and management, sources said.
“There is no problem with Oxygen supply system in GB Hospital. There is adequate supply of oxygen. Moreover, works for making two floors of Jayanti building as dedicated Covid care center are progressing fast and the floors will be ready by October 31”, MP Bhoumik said.
In this connection, Bhoumik also said, “Treatment facilities in GB Hospital have improved and continuous efforts of all concerned have ensured better care for patients. She also hailed doctors and nurses for their services.
She said that Covid19 menace had softened since last few days – and this could have been possible owing to increased awareness among the people. Bhoumik urged people to be alert and strictly abide by the Covid19 norms to defeat the deadly virus.
“Incidences of Covid19 have reduced in Tripura. Public awareness is the prime reason behind such reduction”, she commented.
Highlighting that health care system has improved in GB Hospital, Bhoumik urged people not to conceal their illness, and rather it would better if sick people visit the nearby hospital and avail treatment facilities.
